Trakr Site Plan Creator is a service provided by Trakr (trakr.it). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@trakr.it.

2. What data we collect

2.1 Account Data

If you create an account, we collect:

Name
Email address
Password (stored securely, hashed and salted)
Company or organisation details (if provided)

Purpose: Account management, saved projects, customer support.

2.2 Property / Location Data

You may enter addresses, locations, map drawings, polygons, measurements, and annotations as part of using the service. This data is:

Stored only if you save a project (account required)
Linked to your account if saved
Retained until you delete your project or account

We process location information and user-created map content to provide mapping and drawing functionality.

2.3 Usage Analytics

We collect anonymised usage data including:

Pages visited
Features used
Session duration
Browser and device information
Approximate location from IP address (city/region level only)

Purpose: Improving the service, understanding usage patterns, preventing abuse.

2.4 Marketing Data

If you opt in to marketing communications, we may use your email to send product updates and feature announcements. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your data under the following legal bases (GDPR):

Consent: Analytics cookies, marketing emails
Contract: Account management, service delivery
Legitimate interests: Service improvement, security, abuse prevention

Under the UK GDPR, the same bases apply. We do not rely on "legitimate interests" for processing that requires your consent under UK law.

4. How long we keep your data

Account data: Until you delete your account
Project/location data: Until you delete the project or account
Analytics data: 26 months (aggregated)
Marketing preferences: Until you withdraw consent

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the service:

Map hosting: OpenFreeMap (OSM vector tiles) — no personal data shared
Geocoding: Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — addresses you search are sent to their service; see Nominatim usage policy
Analytics provider: To be confirmed — we will update this policy when analytics is configured
Hosting provider: Netlify or similar static hosting — standard server logs may include IP address

We require all third-party processors to respect your privacy and comply with applicable data protection law.

6. International transfers

Your data is stored and processed in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where data is transferred to third countries, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

7. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to:

Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict processing
Object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent at any time

9. Property intent signals

We use your activity within the service (e.g., addresses searched, plans created) to improve your experience and provide relevant Trakr services. We do not sell property intent data to third parties.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via the service or by email. Continued use after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
